A visualisation exersice, to change a nightmare into another visual memory. So the child will stop thinking about that spesific situation, that tends to come back. 

✔️A simple but very clever. Use it to reframe change a thought that often comes back. The memory will still be there, but the visual image will be replaced with other images. So when the child gets triggered (Seing the bully, a scent, a situation) The brain will send the child different images, after this reframe exersice. That means the child will not be bothered of that image anymore. 

✔️Stop thinking about that nightmare, or the mean words that bully said.  And even find the humour of the situation.
If it is a nightmare or a more serious situation that makes the child sad, (like someone being mean at school/kindergarden) this is a very smart and effective exersice.

How this works

when we are triggered, that can be a scent, thrue sertan words or people we think reminds of of someone we had a bad experience with, our brain often send us a visual image. Then our thougt and mental image, create a feeling. 
The subconscios mind dont understand the difference between past, present & future so you might feel scared over a past experience, even tho you now are safe. 
so how to change this old feeling, a feeling you dont need anymore?
The secret is in the power of the visualisation.
